We make doing business on the web easy!

SECURITY IS VITAL ON THE WEB!
That's why we chose

to provide security for ourselves and our customers

When we chose Thawte it was a leader in Web security with 41% of the world market. We felt they provided the most stable service and at a savings for our clients.

They have since been bought by Verisign but continue to operate under the Thawte name since they have such a well established reputation outside of the USA.

Here's What Some
Customers Have Said:

"Home away from Home ... We were a little concerned about the 'cross-country' divide between our offices, but Excell.Net has always been right next door -- with the right answers -- when we've needed guidance with our growing Internet programs. No matter the level of question, they've been patient, understanding and thorough in providing solutions, in a down-to-earth style. We've learned plenty from Patty & Stan, and our membership has reaped the benefits."

How to Put Your Business on the Web!

Why Should You Do It?:

Use of the Internet is growing rapidly. In January of 1993 there were 50 websites registered - today there are over 28,000,000 registered worldwide - THIS IS NOT A FAD! It isn't going away.

An increasing number of your prospects already view having a web address as a sign of legitimacy for a business. A website allows prospects access to information about your company 24 hours a day and on their own terms. A website can be used to increase customer service and it can be used to create sales you would never have gotten otherwise.

Remember, a customer coming to your website is coming there to find out more about your business - it doesn't get any better than that!

1. Choose Your Domain Name:

Your domain name is the name of your website. It is the name that people will type in to get to your website. With over 18,000,000 dot-coms already registered, there is a good chance that the name you want is already gone so it's a good idea to come up with a few alternate names.

2. Select Your Internet Service Provider:

This is the company that will host your website. These are the people that you will have to count on when you have a problem and these are the people who will help you get your website up and running.

Can you contact them easily? Do they have satisfied customers they can refer you to?

Do they host your site locally or are they just brokers for an out of state hosting service? You may find that your site is being hosted in some place like Florida or California.

Excell.Net has it's own servers and your website is hosted here. Since they don't have millions of distant websites that they are hosting, you and your business are very important to them.

3. Register Your Domain Name:

This is something best left to your ISP (Internet Service Provider). They will set it up on their own server and if they are good will set up an "Under Construction" panel for people to see when they type in your website address.

They will also set up e-mail access for you or forward your e-mail to any address you wish.

Excell.Net does all these things and they will walk you through this step by step. They really do make getting on the web easy!

4. Build Your Website:

Some people enjoy the challenge of creating their own website, doing the coding and so on. More than likely, if you are not on the web yet, you will need some help here.

Excell.Net can direct you to professionals who can help you. You will want to determine how you are going to use your website and how it can be integrated into your marketing program.

5. Tell Everyone About Your Website:

You have to promote your website in all of your print advertising, on your business cards and stationery. Get your website listed on every major search engine - your website designer should do this as part of their service. Unlike the "Field of Dreams" if you don't tell anyone about your website, they won't come.

What You Need to Sell on the Web!

1. A Plan:

You will want to figure out how you are going to sell from your website. Are you selling one product or many? Are you selling on-line or having them call or mail in their order? How are you going to deliver to your customers? A good plan is very important.

2. A Well Designed Website:

Get a professional to help you with this part. It has to load fast and appeal to your prospects. Make their shopping experience as easy and enjoyable as possible. The longer you keep them truly interested, the more likely they are to buy. Don't confuse stunning graphics, sound, animation and razzle-dazzle with quality on an e-commerce website. If it doesn't contribute to making a sale - it's a distraction.

3. A Secure Site:

If you expect customers to give you credit card or other personal information - you will need a Security Certificate. Excell.Net can help you with that!

We use Thawte. You can purchase your own security certificate or you can lease Excell.Net's certificate to conduct secure sales if an individual certificate is more than you need.

4. A Shopping Cart:

A shopping cart allows your customers to pick out items they wish to buy and to continue to add to their order until they are ready to close the transaction.

Excell.Net provides you with two options. You can either purchase a full license which can be fully customized to fit your needs and your site design or a store- front license which allows you to use the Excell.Net cart.
